How are former political prisoners rebuilding their lives after their release and forced exile, after being forcibly expelled from Belarus? A new country, a new profession, recovering their health, rebuilding relationships, and learning to trust the world again. We carefully collect the stories of people who have endured imprisonment, traumatic experiences, persecution, and loss. They are starting their lives over. Here and now. And they need our support.

This is the most terrifying thing—being separated from your children. So please, don’t ask mothers in exile how they are doing without their kids. It is SO HARD that you don’t even need to know.
